Responsibilities & Duties

  • Payroll Processing – Responsible for preparing payroll weekly using IPS Payroll System. Compile data, maintain accurate records, edit/adjust timesheets and paid time off requests, process changes and reporting. Respond to and resolve any payroll errors while working directly with both employees and managers
  • Benefit Administration – assist employees with questions, maintain changes in carrier sites as well as in payroll system; perform monthly reconciliations, facilitate monthly benefit enrollment meetings for new hires, and participate in and support the annual enrollment process
  • General HR/Admin duties – assist with various HR related tasks supporting individual employees as well as other members of the HR department

Requirements

  • Associates degree or 3+ years of relevant work experience
  • At least 2 years of payroll experience, knowledge of IPS Payroll system is a plus
  • 2 – 3 years of benefit experience, utilizing carrier websites, conducting meetings, understanding plan information
  • Previous experience earned in a manufacturing environment a plus
  • Comfort working in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Solid knowledge and understanding of state and federal employment laws
  • Ability to maintain objectivity and discretion with confidential information
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and within a team environment
