25 Nylon Core Belting NYLON CORE BELTING Nylon core belts are commonly used on folder-gluer machines in the folding box industry. Folder-gluer ("FG") belts are antistatic with high friction, abrasion resistant NBR covers, and are non marking. The simplified diagram, below, illustrates a typical box folder-gluer machine and the large number of belts that are used in this application. Due to the wide variety of "FG" belt specification types, it is recommended that distributors contact Beltservice's Lightweight Thermoplastic Department to discuss your customers' specific folder-gluer belt requirements. To speak directly with a nylon core belting specialist, call 800-727-2358, or e-mail sales@beltservice.com. Folder-gluer machines normally use three or more different types of nylon core belts. These include feeder-type belts, folder-gluer belts, and traditional conveyor belts. Each belt is designed for a specific use on the machine and made to handle either light, medium, or heavy shock loads. A box folder-gluer machine system. Features • Permanently antistatic • Different shore hardnesses • Different coefficients of friction • A wide range of various surface types • Made-to-order endless belt construction • Cover has excellent abrasion resistance • Custom holes, slots and grooves available Nylon Core Gray NBR Covers Both Sides* Benefits • Less dust and dirt attraction • The right conveyor belt for each application • The appropriate strength for each application • The appropriate traction layer for each application • Low maintenance cost • Conveying of abrasive goods is possible • Application as vacuum feeder belt High-strength gray nylon core abrasion resistant NBR covers on both the top and bottom make this type of nylon core belt ideal for reliable conveying on heavier drives with no marking of product. Features • Permanently antistatic • NBR rubber top and bottom covers • Excellent abrasion resistance • Constant coefficient of friction • Made-to-order endless belt construction • Low sensitivity to humidity • Uniform longitudinal flexibility Nylon Core Orange NBR Covers Both Sides* Benefits • Easy handling • Short machine downtimes • No marking of product • Long belt life • Low maintenance cost • High dimensional stability • Can handle small pulley diameters These "FG" types are commonly used on folder-gluer machines in the folding box industry. They are anti- static and also are found on wood working and packaging machines. Features • Permanently antistatic • Available for light, medium and heavy shock loads • Operates well on small pulleys and at higher speeds • Wide range of various belt structures • Made-to-order endless belt construction • Low sensitivity to humidity • Excellent abrasion resistance Nylon Core Green NBR Covers Both Sides* Benefits • Process reliability • Gentle treatment of conveyed product • No marking of product • The right conveyor belt for each application • Low maintenance cost • High dimensional stability • Uniform longitudinal flexibility Having high-strength nylon cores with abrasion resistant NBR top and bottom covers, these belts are ideal for high speed power transmission and general conveying applications. *Above nylon core belt illustrations do not represent, or promote, any specific manufacturer's product.
