Beltservice Corporation - Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update

Thursday, March 19, 2020

We are living in unprecedented times as the global impact of COVID-19 accelerates. At Beltservice Corporation we are trying to strike a balance of what it means to maintain a safe work environment for all employees while continuing to service our valued customers.

The following are some actions we are taking:

  • Creating a supplemental COVID-19 Paid Leave Policy
  • Voluntary time off / work from home policy
  • Strict following of CDC guidelines in production and office environments
  • Essential visitors only at all locations
  • Essential travel only – no international travel

Beltservice Corporation is in a unique position to support many industries that are deemed essential, such as agriculture, food production, packaging, grocery, transportation & logistics, distribution centers, chemical, utilities, and many others. Our intent is to remain open and productive in support of these essential industries and in support of our customers’ ability to service them. To date, sales and activity remain strong and we have a healthy amount of orders to keep us busy in the near term. Only with a directive from the government instructing us to temporarily cease operations would we do so. We do not anticipate this to happen.

The governmental policies to mitigate the spread of COVID-19 will have a strong negative impact on the economy. Beltservice Corporation is well situated to handle an economic downturn and we believe that our role as a “wholesaler” can be of great value to our customers. Distributors can utilize Beltservice Corporation and our broad range of inventory and fabrication capabilities to better manage working capital and preserve it for where it will be most needed.

Our utmost concern is the health and well-being of our employees, customers, and the most vulnerable members of society at large. We are fortunate to have so many great employees who demonstrate great care and consideration for each other. Those same values will carry us through the challenges that lay ahead. Where and when all this ends is uncertain but we will continue to monitor the situation closely and communicate any information or actions that will be impactful.
